Do not miss out on these things to do in Summer 2019!

The summer finally arrived!
The sun is shining, you can wear flowy summer dresses, and your ice cream is melting before it even reaches your mouth! Over the past couple of days the temperatures have been rising, and the sky is dark blue without a cloud in sight. Of course we would all like to make the best out of our summer days, and the summer of 2019. Therefore I would like to use the following weeks to update you with different summer bucket lists. The lists will be based on different topics such as a Travel Bucket List, a Health Bucket List, or a Adventure Bucket List. To start the series I will be giving you some bucket list ideas for activities you can easily do at home. I hope to create some inspiration for you, and I am looking forward to the upcoming weeks! Make sure to create your individual Bucket List after each article. A great reminder could be to design, and print out the Bucket List. This would allow you to put it at a spot where you would be able to see it right after waking up!

Bucket Lists can be used as a challenge, or as a fun motivation. Furthermore bucket lists can be fulfilled on your own, or even with family, and friends. What are your plans for the upcoming summer? Let me know!

A fancy spa treatment can be more than expensive, so how about throwing a "Do it yourself" spa evening with your bestie? A spa evening is an awesome way to relax, and destress from a busy day. Of course you are additionally spending some quality time with an important human in your life. A "Do it yourself" spa evening can be easily prepared since a lot of the ingredients for a homemade face, or hair mask can be already found in your own kitchen. Pinterest, and blogs offer tons of recipes, and inspiration for the perfect spa night. Next to creating your own treatments you could enjoy some fruit infused water, and some small snacks. Then you only need to put on your mask, start a great movie, and enjoy the night!

Often we forget how interesting, and exciting it can be to just take a different road on our way to work then we would normally do. Who knows what you are able to discover? Maybe a new café, or a peaceful spot you could visit, and enjoy a good book. Often there are so many beautiful places in walking distance from our home but we never get to see them, since we just follow our day to day routine. So I challenge you to take an unfamiliar approach to exploring your local area. To make it even more challenging I want you to find a stranger that is willing to take a picture with you. Making new friends in your own hometown is a great way to see the city in a different light!

Visiting a strawberry field is a sight to see! Picking the sweet, red berries, and enjoying them right on the field, how can that be topped? Memories that will not be forgotten to soon! Additionally you could enjoy a picnic afterwards. Picnics are one of the best ways to combine a lot of great things: sunshine, time with friends and family, delicious food, and in general a great time. To fulfill point one of the Summer 2019 bucket list, you can throw an awesome picnic, the challenge is to prepare at least five different foods. How about a salad, a nice cheese platter, some fruit kabobs, a french baguette, and a cold juice? Sounds amazing, doesn't it?

Whether you have been living in your hometown for multiple years, or just moved, often times there is still something to discover, or even to re-explore! Discovering your hometown is a trip during the holidays that does not involve intensive preparation, or planning. It can be just as rewarding, and exiting as exploring a city that is unknown to you. Seeing your hometown with fresh eyes can be done with several approaches. Firstly you could start by spending the night not at your own home, but maybe at a small hostel, or even AirBnB in your city. You are being away from home without even leaving! A second tip of mine would be to fully embrace the tourist in you: Take pictures with your camera, visit the tourist info, and get some recommendations on what to do see, and do. In the end I think you will be surprised by the adventures you can have in our own city!

Smoothies are great snack all year long. But especially on hot summer days I enjoy having a cold fruit smoothie even more! To create an exciting bucket list point you could invite your best friends over to your house, and challenge each other to have a try, and create the best tropical smoothie. In the beginning I would advice you to keep the ingredients list as simple as possible, but you can definitely give different combinations a try. A coconut pineapple, or a peach banana smoothie would make a great summer refresher! In case you create a delicious smoothie, definitely feel free to share the recipe in the comments. And of course it is a Must to give your smoothie creation a name that fits the summer vibes. How about a rainbow mermaid smoothie!

Photo albums are an awesome way to look at old memories, and also finding a creative way to collect some new memories. A bucket list point to achieve this summer, is to select only one photo for each year. It could be a trip you have been to, an event you visited, or a holiday that was special to you. Capture this moment by printing out your pictures, and sticking them into an album. To make this album more unique, and to have the ability to add some additional details to the pictures, you could scrapbook the design. Scrapbooking involves collecting all "memories" you want to be reminded of when looking at your pictures. This can range from recipes, tickets, or postcards. Make the pages even more outstanding by adding stickers, quotes, and tapes! Furthermore you can add captions to your photos, and maybe you can even find some old diary entries that describe that particular moment!

Blogging can be a great way to express your thoughts, and ideas to an audience. You have the ability to create your own little space where you can share the topics that interest you. From taking pictures, and writing your own texts you are the creator of your content. Other than that you have the opportunity to connect to likeminded people, and even exchange your opinions with a community. Of course blogging can be then also seen as a fun way to express your creativity! So the last point to finish off todays bucket list is to publish a blog post at least two times during the week within the summer months!

What is on your Summer bucket list?
